On behalf of the Virginia Orthopaedic Society Membership and President, Dr. Seth Cheatham, we cordially invite you to join us for the 71st Annual Meeting at the Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. We are providing a dynamic and comprehensive educational program.

Dr.  Robert G. Marx from Hospital of Special Surgery and Dr. William L. Griffin from OrthoCarolina will be our keynote speakers.

Dr. Marx is a member of the sports medicine faculty at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.  With an interest in complex knee reconstruction and shoulder stabilization, he has had a tremendous career as both a clinician and researcher serving as the Director of the Foster Center for Clinical Outcome Research.

Dr. Griffin is an adult reconstruction expert who is a member of the distinguished OrthoCarolina Hip and Knee Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.  As a high volume join replacement surgeon, Dr. Griffin has published extensively on both primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty.

We are honored to have them both to share their knowledge and expertise.

In addition to research abstracts and poster presentations, a wide range of orthopaedic subspecialties are represented in a lineup of comprehensive talks.  Speakers from across the commonwealth will be presenting updates on sports medicine, total joint arthroplasty, hand and upper extremity surgery, foot and ankle, spine, and pediatric orthopaedics.

The Greenbrier is a phenomenal location for this year's meeting.  The resort is magnificent with a large variety of activities that offer something for everyone.  We look forward to seeing you at the social functions on both Friday and Saturday.  It will be a great opportunity to see old colleagues and make new acquaintances.  The Quiz Bowl on Friday is sure to be entertaining as VCU attempts to make it two in a row as they defend their title against UVA to retain the VOS Trophy.  Please take the opportunity throughout the meeting to meet all of our generous sponsors who help to make the annual meeting a successful and enjoyable event.

We hope you will join us from April 20-22 at the Greenbrier.

Best regards,
